Kamloops Collaborative Family Law Association

The Kamloops Collaborative Family Law Association is a group of independent family law lawyers, family mediators, family arbitrators, accountants, parenting coordinators, family counsellors and therapists, child specialist, child interviewers, and divorce coaches who work together to help their clients resolve their family disputes during divorce and separation without going to court.

Kamloops Collaborative Family Law began when Carolyn Oien and Butch Bagabuyo, with the support of our founding members, initiated and organized a Collaborative Family Law model to address the needs of families who want to resolve their family disputes during divorce and separation without going to court, thereby saving them the financial and emotional toll that is prevalent in the old way of litigating divorce and separation matters in court.

We are a team of professionals from a variety of backgrounds, including family lawyers, mediators, arbitrators, accountants, parenting coordinators, child specialists, child interviewers, family counsellors and therapists, and divorce coaches with many years of experience resolving family disputes in times of separation and divorce. Over the years, as professionals we have advocated for out of court solutions during family breakdown to allow the families involved to retain their dignity and autonomy in resolving family disputes during separation and divorce.
