Marlene Harrison, a partner with Mair Jensen Blair, articled with the company in 1984, and was called to the bar in 1985. She worked for the firm until 1989 when she moved to Bermuda with her lawyer husband and worked there for over five years, developing off-shore mutual funds and other investment vehicles, and conducting off-shore financial work. She transferred to the Bank of Bermuda offices in the Cayman Islands in 1995 and continued to practice in the area of off-shore financial work. She spent six months in the Cayman Islands before deciding that it was time to return to Canada with her family. She then returned to Mair Jensen Blair in 1996, and has been practicing with the firm ever since.

Devoting her practice mainly to family law, Marlene also does some real estate work and wills and estates. She does a significant amount of court work and her clients benefit from her excellent success rate.

Marlene grew up in Vancouver and met her future husband Steve Harrison, while in third year university. After he graduated from UBC law school, Steve wanted to practice anywhere but Vancouver, so they moved to Kamloops. A legal secretary at the time, Marlene decided to become a lawyer herself. They moved back to Vancouver for three years while she attended law school and then returned to Kamloops for her articling.
